Richard S. Csandl Recovery House
|
Description
The Richard S. Csandl Recovery House is a supportive living environment for people in recovery from drug and alcohol addiction, based on a 3/4 way model. A 3/4 way home allows for more autonomy than a halfway house, but not the total responsibility of independent living. The house was created to facilitate recovery for individuals completing treatment and in need of minimal structure. All residents must be in verifiable aftercare, pay rent, and bide by the house rules of drug and alcohol abstinence and non-violence. The recovery house provides a safe, conducive environment where individuals can concentrate on their recovery and aftercare plans. Residents become involved in the supportive and healing effects of sharing hope, faith, and inspiration with others in recovery. The recovery house is democratically run and self-supported, with a house manager who resides on-site acting in a supervisory, facilitative capacity.
