Introducing Veterans Sanctuary

A specialized program serving veterans

Anticipating the return of persons serving in Iraq and Afghanistan and their need for specialized services, in our community.

Mission Statement
 
Veterans Sanctuary is a community based treatment center dedicated to serving the veteran (who has served us) and providing support for families.
 
 
 

 

 
 
The Project 

Veterans Sanctuary is a 32 bed drug, alcohol and PTSD therapeutic community treatment center that opened in July 2011. It will serve exclusively veterans from across Pennsylvania and their families.

To support Veterans Sanctuary:

 

1.   Donate on line or send financial contributions to Treatment Trends, Inc. c/o Veterans Sanctuary, PO Box 685, Allentown, PA 18105 (a private non-profit, 501 (c)(3) tax deductible corporation). Click here for a list of donors who have contributed to our Capital Campaign.

2.   Volunteer opportunities are available. Contact Diana Heckman at (610) 432-7690 or via email at DianaHeckman@treatmenttrends.org for more information.

3.   Roll call: Be on the ground floor as we continue the hiring process. We are looking for some good hearted and capable people to work with us as supervisors, counselors, technicians, therapists, creative healing arts facilitators, and support staff. Resumes are being accepted. Please forward resumes to: Veterans Sanctuary, 24 S. 5th St., Allentown, PA 18101-1608. Attn: Human Resources. If you are a veteran, also forward a copy of your DD214. (Veterans welcome).

4.  Be an advocate of open access to local programs and services for all Veterans. Veterans should be able to access local, publicly-funded services that address addiction, mental health, and physical health needs.  Call your local legislators.

5.   Stand shoulder-to-shoulder with other vets to support us.
