Treatment Trends Named Opioid Treatment Center of Excellence

Treatment Trends has been named one of 45 Opioid Treatment Centers of Excellence in Pennsylvania. This means that Treatment Trends (Confront, the Halfway Home of the Lehigh Valley, and Keenan House) will partner with the community to provide integrated substance abuse, mental health, and physical health care for individuals with Medicaid seeking treatment for heroin and opioid use.

Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolf and Secretary of Human Services announced the designation of Treatment Trends as a Center of Excellence in a visit to the agency on Monday, July 18, 2016.

The Centers of Excellence will utilize a holistic approach that focuses on the entire person through team-based treatment, with the explicit goal of integrating behavioral health and primary care and, when necessary, evidence-based medication-assisted treatment.
